H Masacz

I am a Cotswolds based painter working primarily with oils painting landscapes, still life, figurative art and portraiture. My work draws on the paradox between the familiar and the themes underlying contemporary culture and is often narrative based with a subtle melancholy. I graduated with a BA Hons in Fine Art then studied further at a London Atelier School and have exhibited at the National Portrait Gallery and the Royal Portrait Society. My paintings are also held in private collections across the world and in institutions such as Mansfield college at Oxford University. My paintings have also featured on published book covers and in magazines. Alongside my career as a professional artist, I also teach adults drawing and painting. I consider the relationship with my art as a constant ‘work in progress’, evolving and changing with the creative current.
