Lindsay Reid

I'm an oil painter living in Kempley, Gloucestershire. My inspiration comes from the beautiful countryside and wildlife around me. I specialise in UK wildlife however I also like painting landscapes and street scenes. It’s all about the light, I love to capture light, whether its bright sunlight glinting through the trees, streetlights reflecting on wet pavements or the sun shining through a swan’s outstretched wings. I painted as a hobby for years, but it wasn’t until I went to oil painting classes approx. 7 years ago under the tuition of Anthony Avery, Man of Ross Gallery, I decided to take it up professionally and haven't looked back. I was a finalist in The Broadway Open Art Competition and Newent Art Competition in 2021.
