Andrew Gurnett

I am a photographic artist based in Worcestershire. I primarily create abstract work that explores the contemporary archaeology of the urban landscape. I love the unintentional beauty of the everyday and the enticing narratives that are told by the functional, forgotten and discarded. I'm fascinated by the imagery and implied stories of chance happenings and unintentional creation.

I have been involved in several group and individual shows in galleries and art spaces and have had my work represented at the Affordable Art Fair. My art is in the homes of private collectors and in the rooms of a 5-star hotel in Singapore.

Recent highlights include an artistic residency in Finland, collaborating with the author Alison Jean Lester to provide atmospheric images for her novel Glide and having three of my pieces selected for the 2023 RBSA Photography Prize Exhibition.
