Court on Camera
Originally from Coventry and currently based in Cheltenham, I graduated from Falmouth University with a BA(Hons) in Fine Art in 2019. I currently work as a dance teacher and in a boarding school, and do some freelance photography as well. The images in this show are a collection of digital and film photographs from my time at university.
My work frames sport as an improvised performance, whereby the rules and lines of the game assume the role of a choreographer's score. The line as a boundry is a universal form, directing codified behaviour within an organised social space. Through this exploration of the visual language of sport, I intend to make strange the familiar.
