I have captured my travels in India over many years beginning in 2011 when my son asked me out of the blue, “Do you want to come to India with me?!” I didn’t hesitate. We embarked on a journey that followed in the footsteps of our Anglo Indian ancestors, to the ancient holy city of Varanasi on the banks of the Ganges, where my family had lived for forty years and to other exotic places. The experience was life changing, nothing had quite prepared me for the emotional impact India would have with the awakening of all of my senses and a deep feeling of a spiritual homecoming.

My photographs simply engage with the heart and soul of India documenting fleeting moments in time that otherwise might be lost to memory. I love photographing ordinary lives and people in their environments. I’m curious about who they are, where they are and what they may be thinking.
