About the Artist
Ali Edgson is a landscape artist from Llanishen in Monmouthshire.
She obtained a BA Hons in Visual Communication from the University of Ulster after which she enjoyed a successful career illustrating children’s books, before escaping from the tight deadlines and constraints to paint landscapes around her home and in particular the beautiful expanse of the Usk Valley as seen from the Trellech Plateau in Monmouthshire.
She often explores the Brecon Beacons and Black Mountains to paint in the plein air, a practice which feeds into her studio work and has helped her to grow and develop her style of painting.
