About the Exhibition
The theme of Gee's exhibition will focus on her philosophy, which is rooted in cherishing life's understated pleasures, drawing inspiration from the universal languages of food, travel, and escapism, and finding common ground that resonates with the human experience. Expect textiles illustrating the joys of coming together for a meal, and playful ceramic chillies strung up like those seen in exotic markets.
About the Artist
Gee is a recent graduate of the University of Gloucestershire, where she studied illustration here in Cheltenham. Naturally, she learns about the world and connecting with others, through the lens of gastronomy travel and escapism. She is an avid cook and enjoys spending her free time exploring produce markets, reading cookbooks for escapism. These themes form the basis of Gee’s artwork, that she creates both in the 2D and 3D realm. As a multidisciplinary artist with a range of skills, inclusive of ceramics, printmaking and illustration, Gee gets to express my curiosity of these vast realms in a variation of different mediums, which she finds stimulating and exciting.
