About the Exhibition
Inside-Outside is an art exhibition focussing on the work of two Worcester artists – Nicola Currie, an oil painter and Sally Morgan, a print-maker and pastellist.
The two artists have created a body of work which explores the inside world of a still life and the outside world of landscapes, street scenes and flowers and gardens.
The Artists

Nicola Currie, is currently Artist in Residence at Spetchley Gardens in Worcester. She specialises in still life and floral paintings. Nicola has exhibited widely in the UK including the Mall Galleries in London, the RBSA in Birmingham, New Gallery Walsall, and has had several solo shows at Worcester Cathedral and Spetchley Gardens. She is classically trained and uses traditional techniques and mediums to create highly luminous paintings. A recent development in her work has been the application of gold leaf as a background to create a reflective surface for her colourful and detailed floral paintings.
Sally Morgan, a founder member and organiser of Worcestershire Open Studios, takes her inspiration from the landscape; interpreting it both in pastel and reduction print. Working in pastels enables Sally a freer expressive style, whilst with reduction print she interprets the landscape through line and blocks of colour. As a 2019 finalist in a national art competition, her work was exhibited at the Mall Galleries in London, and on other occasions she has been selected to exhibit at the RBSA in Birmingham.
