Artist Biography

I was very inspired by Eva's prints of strange creatures in their odd boats and as an artist's book-maker I felt they should be given a book in which to exist. The book form I chose is called a "theatre book" and I tried to present the creatures within the "blank white universe" that Eva had described. They have been cut directly from her prints and mounted in a concertina structure which pulls forward onto the stage to display them, with text written on waves made from translucent paper.
My work focuses on sharing my fascination with science and expressing it in my art. Artists' books are a perfect medium for this.
