A bit about Wetpaint Gallery...
Wetpaint Gallery was established in Cirencester in 2002 by art consultant Celia Wickham to showcase works by Modern British and contemporary artists from the UK and abroad. During that time, the gallery became well known for its exhibitions of internationally acclaimed artists such as Sir Peter Blake, Sophie Ryder, John Piper, Picasso, Matisse, Chagall and Graham Sutherland alongside lesser known contemporary artists.
In 2015 the gallery relocated to Chalford in Stroud and more recently is operating online and from pop up venues both in the UK and abroad.
Before setting up Wetpaint Gallery, Celia already ran a successful corporate art consultancy,
www.contemporary-art-holdings.co.uk working with blue chip companies and corporations such as the Bank of England, BMW, Fujitsu Services, John Lewis and Regus.
Over the years Celia has travelled extensively and has developed a network of international clients that enabled her to expand the market for her artists, notably in Japan where she toured an exhibition of British art from Tokyo to Okinawa in 2008.
International exhibitions have included Art Expo New York, Sydney Art Fair, Art3 F in Nantes, France and Lausanne, Switzerland, Majestic Gallery, Montsurs, France and the Chateau de Sainte Suzanne, France.
