bio
My watercolour paintings are all about the infinite variety, detail and gorgeous colours of plants. Everything is drawn from life; my favourite day is sitting in a field or a garden, eye to flower, pencil to page.
I am an elected fellow of the Society of Botanical Artists and have a diploma in Botanical Art.
Previously I worked for many years as an archaeological illustrator. Although I aim to be botanically accurate (and recently won an award for this at the Society of Botanical Artist’s 2025 exhibition), my paintings are not technical works but celebrations in pure colour of the incredible beauty of plants.
