Hello Beautiful Souls, I am Daisy, an Artist & Oil Painter, in awe of the beauty, in the fragility of our world. I have been oil painting since I was twelve, with my subject matter beginning with explorations of human hands, skin, and butterflies. This developed into portrait painting, before moving into botanicals during university. The subject in my oil paintings continued to then dance between both us, humans, and nature. Over the past year my oil paintings have brought them together as one, using botanicals as the subject to represent both human and personal experiences. I have lived and wandered through different places and countries, each shaping both my personal and creative growth. During my final year, my deep fascination with the craftsmanship in old Renaissance paintings led me briefly to study at the Florence Academy of Arts, Florence. I then spent three and a half years in beautiful New Zealand, taking on some commissions as I travelled, but mostly exploring new curiosities within its breathtaking nature and culture. Crossing paths with another artist led me to my role as a Personalisation Expert and Artist for Louis Vuitton Melbourne, where I was put back in touch with my creativity, and my own creative voice was birthed.
