bio
Fiona is an oil painter originally from the East Anglian Fens now residing in Warwickshire. Her atmospheric landscapes, seascapes and skyscapes are rooted in a deep emotional response to light, place and memory.
Fiona draws much of her inspiration from the vast agricultural landscapes and moody storm horizons of her East Anglian upbringing and also from her travels to Northern Europe, Scandinavia, Iceland, Faroe Islands, the Shetlands and Ireland.
She builds richly layered canvases through grisaille underpaintings, glazing and impasto.
Fiona studied oil painting at the School of Martin Kinnear of Royal College of Art.
She has exhibited to considerable acclaim with solo exhibitions at Broadway Contemporary Art Gallery in 2024, 2025 and a third scheduled for autumn 2026.
Her painting "Earth's Shore" was a Finalist at the Broadway Arts Festival Exhibition in 2025 and "Blakeney" was a Finalist and Highly Commended in 2024. Her work is held in private collections in the UK, Europe and the US.
