bio
I studied at Camberwell and Central St Martins and my career has given me a range of experiences in the visual arts. I have exhibited regularly and illustrated a number of books about gardens such as Chatsworth and the Alhambra, and on garden design by Sir Roy Strong and Andrew Lawson.
I am inextricably an artist and a gardener. With paint I see colour and atmosphere and with line I see structure and the rhythms of natural forms. Growing a garden is driven by the same interests and emerges outside in the elements, which is where I like to draw and paint.
I am working towards my next solo show at 16 Gallery in October 2025.
I am happy to accept illustration work and commissions to paint gardens, houses and animals. I would love to hear from you if you have a project you’d like to discuss.
