"Maggie Howe’s work is diverse and includes all three practices of painting, printmaking and ceramics with a few detours along the way. She experiments with the raw potential of the materials, the paints, papers, ink, wax and clay and produces a portfolio that ranges from intimate still lifes to ceramic forms to tactile, abstracted assemblages. Maggie's varied practice is a singular pursuit: finding a visual voice that captures the moments in everyday life that cause us to pause and reflect: a memory, a person remembered, the beauty of everyday objects and the everchanging light and colour that surrounds us.
