In my painting the initial impulse is always a colour combination. From then it’s a process of improvisation to achieve an end result. I like the small size as it encourages the viewer to come close and enjoy the textures and brush strokes. My intention in my Figure drawings is above all to achieve an interesting drawing. My prints are usually based on photos I have taken in the landscape, mostly mountains. I studied Painting at Cheltenham and St Martins Schools of Art.
