CHRISTINA SADLER
Our featured artist this month is Christina Sadler, a contemporary oil painter based in Gloucestershire. Through her work, she explores memory and emotional connection, evoking landscapes and the natural world. Creating emotive and reflective paintings, Christina's intuitive abstract style encourages both compassion and contemplation in herself and viewers. Throughout her mindful practice, Christina plays with paint, balancing joy with a sense of connection to deeper thought.

Christina is passionate about the power of art to support mental health and wellbeing, and has been an arts educator as well as being involved in public art and community projects throughout Gloucestershire. From creating installation pieces for the National Gallery Road Trip, transforming NHS spaces, and most recently creating the iconic 'Zale' lion sculpture for the Lions at Large Trail, Christina's artwork can be found connecting with audiences across her local communities.
With her beautifully sensitive use of colour, Christina builds layers of flowing paint and rhythm, creating a deep sense of atmosphere in her paintings. Reminiscent of places, lands and seas, her works entice a nostalgia, fleeting memory and invite the viewer to share dreamlike journeys through the wild and reflect on what they feel there.
You can keep up with Christina by viewing her latest works on her portfolio, and get direct links to buying pieces and exploring her blog for her latest news. To catch her in real life, you'll find her with prints at Sixteen Gallery just before Christmas, so keep an eye out!
