BARBARA CURRY PRESENTS CONTOURS AND CURVES, AN EXHIBITION CELEBRATING A YEAR OF WALKS AROUND HER HOME IN WINCHCOMBE.
Barbara's work reflects her passionate love of nature and landscape. As a keen walker, she watches for, and expresses lovingly, the subtle seasonal changes in colour and mood of her surroundings. This exhibition celebrates a year of walks around her home, among the curving Cotswold hills just north of Cheltenham, and also features a few English landscapes further afield.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Barbara is a 2021 graduate of the Norfolk Diploma oil painting course led by Martin Kinnear. She has always loved painting, but it is now, in retirement from a long teaching career, that she is making the most of having her own studio to develop her work in oils and mixed media. Barbara uses a variety of classical and contemporary mark-making techniques in her work, is represented in many UK collections, has sold work in the US and Australia, and was awarded "Highly Commended" in the 2023 Broadway Arts Festival.
