SIXTEEN GALLERY | 7 – 17 MARCH
HOLLY LEVY-SO, MIA ROXI FOWLER, SARAH FOX AND KAI DYLAN PRESENT EUTIERRIA; AN IMMERSIVE COLLECTION OF ILLUSTRATION AND ANIMATION EXPLORING THE BARRIERS BETWEEN THE SELF AND THE NATURAL WORLD, AND A DEEP SENSE OF CONNECTION TO THE UNIVERSE WHEN LIVING IN HARMONY WITH EARTH'S NATURAL SYSTEMS.
ABOUT THE ARTISTS
MIA ROXI FOWLER
Mia Roxi Fowler is a Devon based multimedia artist with a passion for depicting the mystical side of nature. She explored many avenues while obtaining her BA Honours degree in Illustration at the University of Gloucestershire, such as printmaking, animation and oil painting. Mia now falls into a slower paced practice and is delving into how to balance creating, with newly developed challenges with her health and how to express this in her new work.
Nature is her biggest inspiration, particularly its abnormal ethereal qualities that others might find unsettling. Such as double headed animals, surreal flora and other oddities that blur the line between reality and the imagination. Mia emphasises this by leaning into the mystical with her inspiration from folk tales and surreal imagery. Her work often features recurring motifs like stars and eyes, making her work feel both familiar and otherworldly.
From things on a charity shop shelf to something catching her eye on the side of the road, the charm of a discarded object often sparks her initial idea. By juggling different materials she works intuitively to find the path which best conveys her concept while flowing seamlessly.

HOLLY LEVY-SO
Holly Levy-So is a multimedia illustrator.
Growing up in Devon in a very unconventional family Holly has always struggled to fit in with society. Holly always felt deeply connected to nature and rustic living. Now living in a very fast paced society, where things do often not make sense to her, Holly uses her art as a way to express her complex feelings in reflection to her life on this planet.
From a young age, Holly was always fascinated with drawing, throughout life however she dipped in and out of her art. It was only after having her daughter during lockdown, that Holly really knew that she wanted to take her illustration to the next level. She studied at the University of Gloucestershire and during that time also became very addicted to stop frame animation.
Holly’s art is heavily inspired by society and the strange contrasting ways we live in comparison to other living entities on this planet. Her work also explores spirituality, belief systems, existence, emotion and the causes and effects of modern day society.
Holly thrives on using mixed media, the different qualities of each medium keep her fascinated and engaged in her work, when one medium isn’t producing she switches to a different one exploring as she goes in each piece she creates.
SARAH FOX
Sarah Fox is an experimental animator and Illustrator from Cheltenham. Her practice is about responding to sound, rhythm and movement using a mix of analogue mediums like paper, pencil, markers, ink, paint, and collage mixed with digital technology. She is interested in collaborating with sound producers, artists, audiences and more to create experimental animation films, installations, workshops and events.
Listening to music helps Sarah to feel, but her strength is drawing. She started drawing and animating music while studying Illustration at the University of Gloucestershire (2021-2024) where she was selected for a joint Exhibition Prize by Sixteen Gallery for her interactive video mixing installation during the degree show. Since then, she’s been doing live visuals for DJ collective Disco Shed at Latitude Festival while working as a Screen Printer at Printnasium in Gloucester. She has also led experimental animation workshops for Finelines Festival 2025 and for UOG animation students, where she has discovered more meaningful connections within her practice.
Sarah is now an Artist in Residence at The Wilson Gallery where she is spending 2026 experimenting to find her own visual music language, while researching and developing accessible and inclusive visual music jams as collaborative workshops that bring people together to express themselves through sound, movement, animation and drawing.
KAI DYLAN
Kai Dylan is a Cheltenham based illustrator specialising in comics and storytelling with a tendency to romanticise the mundane. Often inspired by nature and the different forms of interpersonal relations, he creates warm, heartfelt illustrations with an atmospheric style. Themes within his work are often relatable with the purpose of providing respite to the reader; illustration conveys what words cannot.
Dylan graduated from the University of Gloucestershire in 2024 with First Class Honours in BA Illustration with an Excellence in Exhibition Award for Illustration by Sixteen Gallery. Throughout his degree, he developed his practice within risograph printing and has returned to this practice for the purpose of this exhibition. This was explored alongside the practice of bookbinding and paper engineering, emphasising the handmade practice of illustration.
He has created and illustrated several comic books and is currently working on his first graphic novel to be shared later this year.
Join the artists for the Eutierria private view or drop in and check out the work 10am - 4pm daily during their two week show. Keep an eye out for information on demo's and workshops throughout the exhibition run!
