FINDING

SIXTEEN GALLERY | 6 – 11 NOVEMBER
SUSAN WILMOT REBECCA MURRAY AND PETER GUILLEBAUD PRESENT FINDING.
Finding brings together three artist’s who are united in their search to go beyond the making or accurate representation of a subject but to try to find something abstractly fascinating in the beauty and complexity of paint itself, a search for the unexpected that might happen when the paint is allowed to do what it naturally does without being too influenced by the hand.
ABOUT THE ARTISTS
SUSAN WILMOT

Susan Wilmot says her work today has evolved directly from the art language she learned at school. How to look, how to create an interesting composition, use of, tone, colour, line and expression, the building blocks of all works.
She did an art history degree. She lives in Yorkshire and regularly exhibits in one-person and group shows.
REBECCA MURRAY

Rebecca Murray studied Fine Art Painting at the Slade School of Art in London and has been living in the Cotswolds for 30 years. She works primarily in oil paint and her work hovers between figuration and abstraction. She is interested in colour relationships and the relationships between objects and space. She has recently had work selected for exhibitions at the Mall Galleries in London
PETER GUILLEBAUD

I have been painting all of my life, having been taught by Robin Child at Marlborough College. He is the mentor that we all share. This is an experimental time for me where I am trying something new, throwing off the shackles of the past and beginning to forge a personal visual language.
