ANGUS ABRAHAM AND BERONY ABRAHAM PRESENT GENERATIONS IN COLOUR; AN EXPLORATION OF THE USE OF COLOUR BY A MOTHER AND SON, HIGHLIGHTING THEIR DIFFERENT APPROACHES TO ART, AND THEIR INTERPRETATIONS OF THEIR SURROUNDINGS.
ABOUT THE ARTISTS
ANGUS ABRAHAM
The inspiration behind my paintings is taken primarily from my times in the Lake District or on Wimbledon Common. Most of the works are impressions of, or emotional responses to, a view or a memory.

The style is intentional, energetic, and instinctive - I am not trying to faithfully mirror anything, rather to create something enjoyable. I hope you can find something that speaks to you in them as well.
All my artwork was produced either in my home studio, or from Red Room 224 at Wimbledon Art Studios. I always paint wearing a KG&TLW tour T-shirt, usually under the watchful and judgemental gaze of my cat, Vesper.
When I'm not painting, I'm likely to be out cycling, swimming or running, or maybe in the yoga studio. I'm currently studying at university to become a therapist.
BERONY ABRAHAM
My paintings are inspired by the amazing countryside surrounding my home in Cumbria, where I live on the side of the fells, a stones throw from the Lake District.

I am just beginning to paint more relating to my second home in Cheltenham, and also to reflect the diverse colours and scenes from holidays abroad and in Scotland.
My style is semi-abstract, so I begin with an outline of a view, and then bring in my own ideas, colours and textures. I am aiming for a balance that pleases me, not for detail or accuracy in any sense.
When I'm not painting, I return to writing my second novel - a very slow process - or I revert to restoring a large, Georgian dolls house.
