Sixteen Gallery artist-owners Arthur and Andy present Marco founder of PEAK with the check of donations raised through the Postcard Show

We rounded off 2025 on a particularly lovely note when Arthur and Andy met with Marco, founder of P.E.A.K, the recipients of last year’s Postcard Show support, to present a cheque for the funds raised through the exhibition.

PEAK is a local organisation dedicated to supporting families and educators who live or work with children pre or post an autism diagnosis. Their mission is to give support and training in practical strategies that address challenges faced whilst navigating the autistic spectrum. We were incredibly proud to support their work, donating £5 from every postcard artwork sold throughout the show.

The 2025 Postcard Show filled the walls of Sixteen Gallery with hundreds of postcard-sized artworks created by local artists of all backgrounds, experience levels, and styles. Thanks to the generosity of artists and visitors alike, the exhibition raised an amazing £2,000 for P.E.A.K.

We’d like to extend a huge thank you to every artist who contributed such an exciting and diverse range of work, and to everyone who came along and purchased pieces they fell in love with. Your support helped us smash our fundraising target and directly contribute to a cause that means a great deal to us at the gallery — and makes a real, lasting difference in the community.

Marco spoke about what the shows fundraising means in practical terms:

“This is hours working on educational healthcare plans, or being in schools with children. This amount of money creates a large impact, there are potentially months of work that can be done because of this.”

For P.E.A.K, every donation translates into hands-on, meaningful support: attending school meetings, advocating for appropriate educational provision, and ensuring children and parents receive the guidance they need to thrive.

Events like the Postcard Show highlight the power of local initiatives. By bringing creativity and compassion together, our community has helped ensure P.E.A.K can continue making a tangible difference in the lives of autistic children and their families. We’re incredibly proud to see artists and artworks being a true force for good.

In some more good news, The Postcard Show will be returning in October 2026 — watch this space for more information. You can even pick up artwork boards from us down at the gallery this week!
