THE SIXTEEN GALLERY COLLECTIVE

PRESENTS SMALL WORKS: A COLLECTION OF

AFFORDABLE SMALL PIECES MADE BY IT'S MEMBERS.

There is something uniquely compelling about small works of art. They can be intimate and quiet, yet powerful, effecting and rich in expression. They invite viewers to look closer, to engage more personally.

This April, and coinciding with both the esteemed Cheltenham Jazz Festival and Fresh Art Fair, The Sixteen Gallery Collective is presenting Small Works — a curated collection of affordable pieces created by its members. Bringing together our artists working across mediums, styles and techniques with one commonality, their compact size. The exhibition highlights the breadth of talent across the collective and the power of art on a smaller scale.

Every work in the collection is priced at under £500, making it an ideal opportunity for both seasoned collectors and those just beginning their journey into collecting art. Smaller pieces often provide a perfect entry point into collecting: they are accessible, versatile, and easy to live with. Whether displayed on a shelf, nestled into a gallery wall, or given pride of place in a quiet corner, these works can bring character and meaning into everyday spaces — not to mention they can be perfect for smaller homes.

For new collectors, Small Works offers a chance to discover emerging and established artists while acquiring original art at an approachable price point. For experienced collectors, it’s an opportunity to add something distinctive and personal to an existing collection.

Above all, this exhibition aims to highlight the beauty that can be found in modest dimensions; each piece may be small in size, but they're large in impact, Small Works invites you to explore, discover, and take home something truly special.
