print's not dead

This will be a group show with the feel of an art market — a friendly, accessible exhibition focused on printed artworks! Whether it's traditional printmaking, risograph, giclée prints of original works, multiples or anything in between, anything that fits within the idea of "print" whatever that means to you.
Work will be displayed on the walls and in browsers, with a shared table space for smaller items like zines or books. Any artworks are welcome, the only thing we ask is please no cards, bags or craft items.
We are aiming to create a relaxed but professional exhibition where people can enjoy, connect with, and buy great print work. There will be no submission fee, but we’ll be taking a 30% commission on all sales to cover the cost of the space.
This exhibition is open to anyone interested in entering, so please register your interest below and we will send you further information.
PRINT'S NOT DEAD AT SIXTEEN GALLERY is An open exhibition celebrating all things print!
from traditional printmaking to digital and giclée prints. We’re curating this with a market-style approach: THINK browsers, TABLETOPS, SALON WALL, and affordable works.
11 — 24 DECEMBER
WITH LATE NIGHT OPENINGs THURSDAY 11 & THURSDAY 18 DECEMBER until 8pm
ARTIST SUBMISSION DETAILS
Artist may exhibit up to 15 prints in total. These can be editions of a single image, or a variety of images in any combination. We will provide an inventory form to itemise pieces.
Each artist may submit one framed piece to exhibit if they wish, but this is not a requirement — one wall of the gallery will be hung salon-style with unframed works, where everyone will be represented. We’re focusing on affordability and accessibility, so unframed prints will make up the majority of the show. Selected framed works will be hung showing a broad range of styles and techniques.
Unframed works can be displayed either with or without a mount, but we suggest a backboard and cellophane (or alternative) wrapping to protect pieces and enable labelling.
Delivery of work:
- Wednesday 10 December, 6–8pm
- Thursday 11 December, 8–11am
Given the number of participating artists and the need to sign in each work, please ensure delivery during these times only.
Collection of unsold work:
- Tuesday 24 December, 10am–4pm, or
- During the week beginning Monday 5 January, Monday–Friday, 10am–2pm.
To take part register your interest below and we'll send you more details along with an RSVP and inventory form.

guidelines and faq
There is no theme! The only constraint is that your work must be contained within the board.
You can use any medium you like. Last year this ranged from oil paints and pastels to watercolours, to photography and ceramics. Let your creativity drive you!
Depending on what medium you are using, you can choose to prime, stick-onto or work directly on the board. As long as the finished piece is constrained within the dimensions of the board, there is no restriction on what mediums you can use!
You can only use the boards from this year. All entered boards must have the 2025 label on to be included in the exhibition.
Yes, boards must be purchased from us. If a board is submitted without the 2025 Sixteen Gallery label on, it will not be valid for inclusion in the exhibition.
Once you have completed your artwork, before you either drop-off or send your board back to us please fill out the registration form. This streamlines our process, making sure that we have all the details for your artwork and allowing us to have your account details ready if your work sells.
The form is simple and quick, please fill out one for each board you have using the board number on the back. You can register your boards here.
You can return your finished boards to us using our drop-off box in the gallery on the dates given here. Alternatively you can post them back to using the address shown above. Please take a moment to register your board before you return it.
All communication regarding the Postcard Exhibition will be through email. We will notify you this way if your work sells
The postcard artworks will be stuck onto the walls using velcro strip, unless the work is heavy / sculptural and will be placed onto plinths. Please bare this in mind when creating, and make sure artwork is secure if stuck to a board.
Any unsold work must be collected on or before the 15th October before 5pm. If you have not been notified that your work has sold, then you will need to collect it. Anything not collected will be disposed of.
If you are unable to make this date, or do not want your artwork back, please get in touch with us at: hello@sixteenonline.com
We have not yet confirmed the charity we are supporting for 2025, but we look forward to announcing this soon.
£5 of the sale of each board will go to our chosen supported charity. Some artists may choose to donate the entire £50 if their artwork sells. This is completely optional, and if you would like to, check the box when you register the board, or let us know if you decide later.
