open call 2025

This year sixteen Gallery is hosting its first Open Call.
we're inviting all emerging and established artists to submit work for an open exhibition At the gallery that will be judged by a guest panel.
The exhibition will be held at our gallery in Cheltenham from the 28th August - 10th September this year and will be a collection of the 50 judges choice pieces submitted between 13th May and 13th July.
There is no theme for the work submitted and the Open Call is free to enter so we’re encouraging as many artists as possible to get involved. Our only stipulation is that all works submitted are no larger than 100cm x 100cm.
The shortlist of 50 works will all be for sale during the exhibition with no commission taken if the work sells, only a small hanging fee of £25. Members of the Sixteen Online Collective will not be charged a hanging fee.
The Judges will also select a single artist to receive the prize of a free week's rental at the Gallery in 2026.
