ANIA BOND
Our second artist feature this month is Cheltenham based painter and printmaker Ania Bond. Ania curates a practice focusing on the exploration of the female form. Following her desire to express thoughts and feelings and identity, she creates works that use the female figure as a vessel for that emotional expression. Working in lino print or inks, without over-sexualisation or beautification, her strong graphical style balances power and fluidity, celebrating the female form in a bold, fresh way.

Through her practice, Ania experiments with tonal depth, soft, dreamlike marks and deep blues, enriching her work with emotional narrative. Each piece becomes a dialogue between artist and subject, mind and body, tradition and reinterpretation. Through her distinctive visual language, she reflects on the complexities of female identity while celebrating femininity in all its forms. Her work invites viewers into a space of reflection and recognition, offering a quiet yet powerful sense of empowerment.
Ania's work finds power in simplicity and honesty. Her strong style, defined by bold lines and limited colour palettes, creates a striking balance between strength and softness, precision and fluidity. Using pared-back forms and colours but with an abundance of mark and texture - through the cut of lino or flow of ink - her thoughts and ideas speak through, clearly defining her artistic voice.
Keep up with Ania's latest work over on her portfolio. And as part of her practice, Ania runs Her Print Club, a monthly print subscription of curated prints - check out her Instagram or Patreon to find out more!
