SIXTEEN GALLERY

THE POSTCARD SHOW

EXHIBITION | 9 – 21 October

OPENING EVENT | Friday 9 October 5 – 8pm

The Sixteen Gallery Postcard Show returns, offering the opportunity to collect beautiful small artworks from a collection of 100's of affordable, original pieces.

Once again we invited artists of all levels to create miniature masterpieces, all just 6 x 4 inches in size. Displayed anonymously and all priced at £50 each, these postcard-sized pieces – with a portion of each sale (£5) donated to The Family Haven – offer a chance to purchase unique original artwork, support local artists, and enjoy the surprise of discovering the creator only after the piece is purchased.

Through The Postcard Show we aim to bring together artists, the community, and local causes all in one wild, creative celebration. This year we are proud to be supporting The Family Haven, a Gloucestershire-based charity supporting families through some of the most difficult chapters of their lives. The Family Haven helps people navigating homelessness, domestic abuse, isolation, or the lasting effects of difficult childhoods. By supporting the whole family together — not just the child, and not just the parent — they help break cycles of hardship and give children the best possible start. We couldn't think of a better way to support local communities and are thrilled to be partnering with them. Read all about them here, or check out their website for more information.

With over 100 individual artworks selling early last year, our opening event offers the ideal opportunity to view and purchase your favourite pieces before they get snapped up! Join us for a glass, see the show in all its glory and collect pieces from your favourite artists at a great price you'll never see elsewhere.

And this year, our opening event will be more joyful than ever, as the whole neighbourhood gets involved! Friday 9 October is the kick-off for the Cheltenham Literature Festival, and galleries throughout Montpellier will be opening up late to start the festivities off in style. With events across The Gloucestershire Guild, Spring Gallery, Paragon Gallery, The Gardens Gallery and Park Gallery, it will be an evening packed with creativity.

Join us to celebrate or drop in during our two week run, and maybe take home a perfect pocket sized new artwork to add to your collection.
