June brings summer to the artists studios, and many of them are opening their doors. With open studios taking place around the country, and some exciting exhibitions across the South this month, there's plenty of art to get your teeth into. Keep up with all the latest from the members of the collective and where to find their work with this run down of artists exhibitions in June.

7 -- 15 JUNE

CHELTENHAM OPEN STUDIOS

Cheltenham Open Studios (COS25) sees artists from all over Cheltenham and the surrounding area opening their studio doors to the public in celebration of all the visual arts being made in the area.

Sixteen Gallery plays host to Sue Durkin, Anna Lansley, Andy Owen-Smith and Ellie Thomas, and you can find out more about that here. Caroline Evans shows with her studio Lansdown Art Studios. Barbara Curry, Tamsin Hyde, Corynna Jeudwine, Chris Knapman, Aly Lloyd and Cat Thorne are all showing at their individual studios, to find them all check out the COS website here.

EMMA PRICE

SURREY ARTISTS OPEN STUDIOS -- ARTFUL GALLERY


As the summer blooms, artists' studios open up and down the country. At the same time as COS in Cheltenham, Surrey Artists Open Studios runs across the region - you can find all the information about it here.

Emma Price exhibits as part of an exciting roster of 20 guest artists in "Art and Soul" at the Artful Gallery in Haslemere. Featuring indoor and outdoor sculpture as well as paintings, the exhibition comprises of over 100 affordable artworks just waiting to be explored! Don't miss it if you're in the area.

12 -- 21 JUNE

MIKE SKINNER

NEW ENGLISH ART CLUB


Mike Skinner returns to the Mall Galleries with The New English Art Club for their 2025 annual exhibition.

"The NEAC represents the best of figurative painting, drawing and printmaking. The artist members of the NEAC include many leading contemporary figurative artists from all around the UK whose work is hung alongside a large open submission of non-members' work"

ELLIE COTTRELL

JACKSON'S ART PRIZE 2025


Jackson’s Art Prize presents a selection of the 2025 shortlist and prize-winners in painting, drawing, and printmaking at their exhibition at Bankside Gallery, London.

"After receiving over 12,000 submissions from 129 countries, this exhibition presents a snapshot of contemporary ideas from around the world." Ellie's piece "Otherwise We Are Lost" was awarded the Pastel Award in this years competition and will be displayed alongside other works including the wonderful winning piece.

26 JUNE -- 2 JULY

CHARLOTTE KEATING

TRANQUILITY


Charlotte Keating finishes off a month of great shows at Sixteen Gallery presenting an exhibition of dreamy abstract paintings united through soft expressive brushstrokes in vibrant colours, balancing uplifting energy with a sense of tranquility.

Infused with a deep sense of calm and uplifting energy, Charlotte's work brings a breath of fresh air to the space, breeze by if you're a Cheltenham local.
