CELEBRATE WOMEN'S HISTORY MONTH WITH 4 WONDERFUL WOMEN OF THE COLLECTIVE

March 2025 is Women's History Month in the UK, and so before it's all over we thought we'd celebrate a little by highlighting 4 of our fantastic artists.

We're so happy to say that we have many very talented women as part of the Sixteen Online Collective, and we have selected just a handful who represent a range of styles and mediums.

CHRISTINA SADLER

Christina Sadler is a contemporary painter from Gloucester. Through her serene abstract paintings, she delves into the alchemy of her materials, expressing emotions and moments of mindfulness. Drawing inspiration from nature, she creates loose, abstract and deeply emotive pieces that reflect both the quiet and the awesome.

Her work examines the interplay between geometric abstraction and organic shapes, using the figure and themes of identity, human experience and femininity. Her bold, fresh take on figurative abstraction is a unique blend of digital and traditional, challenging conventional boundaries in painting.

HILARY FORBES

Hilary Forbes is a watercolour landscape artist working both "en plein air" and from her home in North Herefordshire. Enjoying the fluidity, translucency and diffusion of colour she derives from her medium, she creates expressive semi-abstract works infused with the energy and atmosphere she finds in her surrounding landscape.
