JANE FOOT
SPRING GALLERY, CHELTENHAM
Jane Foot brings My Mind's Eye, an exhibition exploring Jane's continual interaction with the landscape around her. Drawn to crumbling cottages, old industrial structures and to how they sit within the contours of the land, Jane stores these memories, which find their way intuitively into her mixed media compositions. Not literal views, but responses to what lingers — fragments of structure, atmosphere and history, her works remind us that every landscape carries the imprint of lives lived and collective memory. INDY CANTILLON & LUCY PASS
RBSA GALLERY, BIRMINGHAM

Open to established and emerging artists working in any media, from both UK based and abroad. The RBSA brings together this prize to celebrate the importance of portraiture as a way of immortalising a person or group, and preserving their appearance for future generations; believing that no other type of painting can give such insights into social and cultural history.
