Lindy Allfrey
'French Picnic'
Oil on Linen
My still life paintings are inspired by the Spanish Still Life painters, I like to place my objects, fruit, and stories in a theatrical environment, lighting it to create atmosphere and play on colour. Colour and atmosphere play a big part in my inspiration, searching for what attracts the eye, what gives pleasure to the viewer enabling them to truly see natural objects in their beauty and light.
“Lindy’s still life paintings have a variety of textures and colours that punch off the canvas, living with her work, her paintings always have life and interest. As time goes by, I never tire of looking at them.” Paul Walker.
Lindy has exhibited in London, Aldeburgh, Ipswich, Stow on the Wold & Cheltenham, with paintings in private collections around the world.
