'Soudley Ponds'

Jo Rockley is an artist and illustrator living and working in The Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire. Her bold style is concerned with creating layered colourful work, which when captured by the light shows texture and form. Jo studied Illustration and Animation at The University of Central England in Birmingham, where she worked on her love of colour and movement. Inspired by the natural beauty of her hometown and artists such as Giacometti, Anish Kapoor, Tony Cragg and Andy Goldsworthy, Jo works with a scalpel and coloured paper and card to create layered portraits and landscapes. Her works have been seen in exhibitions across the UK and she was a finalist in the Broadway Arts Festival.
