Lindy Allfrey

"I’m based in the beautiful Cotswold town of Stow On The Wold in Gloucestershire. I specialise in commissions for portraiture, and I have developed a portfolio which covers from large military groups all the way across to families and children.

I also teach portraiture, and hold three day workshops in my studio in Stow.

Portraiture is a wonderful opportunity to record our time capsule be it a Board of Directors, a Regiment, sports team, a centenary celebration of an event recording the people involved, your family, wife/husband, children – the list of reasons for a portrait are endless.

I love being an artist, it is such a privilege to study nature and people, to see and fully appreciate the wonder of who and where we are.

I passionately believe the most important part to a painted portrait are the sittings, this is the only way to achieve the character, personality, likeness and life of the painting."
