Christine is currently working on an installation Activist Alphabet to inspire discussion around climate change. She teaches traditional etching, collagraph & screen printing.
Her philosophy is to encourage by experimenting with the medium.

It’s been a privileged to have Eric Saline's beautiful prints to work on. It took a while to come up with an idea for the work. I love aboriginal land paintings and I thought that Eric's work in some way reminded me of this with an urban take. I felt the two countries Sweden & the UK had very different rules for where you can walk or camp. There has recently been a lot of protest about Dartmoor in the UK where wild camping has now been restricted. The idea was born. I used imagery that I had been previously working with on another project 'The Activist Alphabet'. I took the Swedish word Smultron [a safe place to find wild strawberries] this embodies what Sweden allows re wild camping. I used the word trespass as a word that summed up the UK rules. I am now experimenting with patterning in my personal work. So very happy about the exchange.
