We have so many great looking exhibitions to shout about this month! There's plenty going on around the country, from beautiful solo exhibitions through to expansive exciting group exhibitions and open calls (including Sixteen Gallery's own!)
Have a browse and mark your calendars. Some are in their final days so don't miss out, and there's ample in the thick of it and to look forward to later on this month – it's going to be an art-filled August!

TARPEY GALLERY, CASTLE DONNINGTON
Emma Price is featuring in the Tarpey Gallery Open Call Exhibition. The show aims to showcase the best of UK contemporary art by bringing together emerging and established artists to create a diverse and exciting group exhibition in one of the Midlands foremost Commercial Contemporary Fine Art Galleries.

IRONBRIDGE FINE ARTS
Anna Lansley was selected to exhibit and is the Printmaking Today Prize Winner at The Ironbridge Fine Arts Printmaking Open 2026. Chosen from an outstanding number of submissions, this year’s exhibition celebrates the creativity, technical excellence, and innovation that continue to define contemporary printmaking.

THE GATE, GLOUCESTER
Jane Foot brings My Mind's Eye, to The Gate. Drawn to crumbling cottages, old industrial structures and to how they sit within the contours of the land, Jane stores these memories, which find their way intuitively into her mixed media compositions. Not literal views, but responses to what lingers — fragments of structure, atmosphere and history, her works remind us that every landscape carries the imprint of lives lived and collective memory.

SIXTEEN GALLERY, CHELTENHAM
Barbara Curry presents Contours and Curves at Sixteen Gallery; a solo exhibition celebrating a year of walks around her home in Winchcombe among the curving Cotswold hills. Reflecting her passionate love of nature and landscape, her work shows her as a keen walker, watching for, and expresses lovingly, the subtle seasonal changes in colour and mood of her surroundings.

SIXTEEN GALLERY, CHELTENHAM
Tamsin joins other members of The Cheltenham Group of Artists in their Summer Exhibition at Sixteen Gallery. CGA comprises of 25 professional artists, exhibiting nationally and internationally and coming together at least twice a year to exhibit new work. The 2026 Summer Show continues a long tradition of showing work from the members in Cheltenham.

SIXTEEN GALLERY, CHELTENHAM
After our judges reviewed over 1000 submissions, 50 artworks have been selected to show in what promises to be a vibrant, exciting Open Call Exhibition at Sixteen Gallery. The show is a wonderful opportunity to encounter fresh perspectives, and engage with range of artistic practices; and this year we're proud to say that 11 of our talented collective members have been selected! WEST OX ARTS GALLERY, BAMPTON
This group exhibition including ceramicist and new collective member Kashmira Patel, brings together the work of eight artists, each interpreting nature in their own distinctive way through painting, ceramics and textiles. From the intricate detail of wildlife and birds to richly textured textiles, luminous paintings and handcrafted ceramics, the exhibition celebrates the landscapes, plants and animals that continue to inspire artists.

THE LITTLE GALLERY, MARLBOROUGH
Tamsin Hyde takes part in The Little Gallery's Summer Open Exhibition.
A celebration of creativity in all its forms, the exhibition brings together artists of all backgrounds, styles and experience levels to exhibit in the Marlborough gallery.
